4.1 14th Durham Blackboard Users' Conference – 9-10 January 2014
The theme of this year's conference will be the “Life of i”. Taking liberties with the title of a well-known novel and rather expensive devices designed in California but made in China, to look at personal and personalised lifelong learning, supported through technology. We invite members of the Blackboard User Community (and their friends who may have jumped ship) to share their insights and experiences.

4.2 4.4 UCISA event: Effective use of mobile technologies, Imperial College London, 24 January 2014.
A showcase of best practice in the use of mobile technology to enhance teaching, learning and assessment. The event includes case studies from the upcoming best practice guide. The case studies go beyond the provision of mobile access to existing technologies and will demonstrate the advantage of using mobile technologies in the learning experience.

5.1 Learning Technologies 2013 Workshop at the University of Hull: Call for papers
We welcome contributions on the following sub-themes: Innovative approaches to teaching and assessing large classes (use of social technologies and peer assessment, such as WebPA); Giving effective feedback (possibly through peer feedback and assessment); Encouraging and enabling peer mentoring through social media; The impact of social media on teaching and learning.
Participants are invited to submit papers (position papers, research or proposals) as well as posters of on-going work. Abstracts for papers (maximum of 500 words) should be submitted, preferably in Word or PDF format to [log in to unmask]
5.2 International Journal of Business, Humanities and Technology – Call For Papers
