Salary: UCL Grade 6B, £28,338 - £29,881 per annum (pro rata) inclusive of London Allowance
This is a fixed term position for 6 months at 0.75 FTE to examine how clinical decision making is enacted between junior doctors and patients in Accident and Emergency. The post is located in the e-health Unit in the UCL Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health. The post holder will also work closely with co-applicants from the Institute of Education. The position provides an excellent opportunity for a Researcher who is interested in medical interactions to work with a multi-disciplinary team. The team comprise a medical sociologist with expertise in a range of qualitative methods and a particular interest in conversation analysis, a qualitative researcher with particular expertise of research in hospital settings and of educational research, an expert in the use of conversation analysis and ethnomethodology for exploring clinical encounters and a GP and educationalist with a particular expertise in decision making.
