Here in Luton we do not charge for people to access a scanner, if they are doing it for themselves. We see it as part of public access to ICT. However, if they are unable or unwilling to do the scan themselves, we charge £5 for 30 minutes assistance.

I would also be very interested to hear what people charge.
Currently we only have a small number of USB attached scanners in cambridgeshire. We're looking to deploy MFDs and charging for scanning is an attractive way to fund the deployment and to bring in additional revenue.

Dear All,
We are looking into offering scanning facilities in our libraries. If you offer this service, please could you let us know how much you charge?
I have a copy of Fines and Charges in Public Libraries but scanning is not included.
Many thanks.
Anita
