First I've heard of the RCN titles being sold to BMJ. At least then they might get put on Highwire, which would be somewhat better than Atypon.
Meanwhile, we've decided to order our online RCN titles from Ovid and are very happy with what we've got.

Not only is there a price hike and a reduced archive (a 'rolling archive',
in the 21st century? ), but there were teething problems when the domain
name changed on the RCN website which caused us a number of problems.
If the price rise is the only option (i.e. no print) then we will be
thinking very carefully about our options. Luckily our agent is now on the
case for us and has put our renewals on hold.
Everyone is aware that the RCN titles have been sold to BMJ, aren't they?
Best
Louise

Yeah, well done, RCN Publishing. Look how you are alienating the UK and
Ireland academic and healthcare libraries, who are cancelling in droves.
Changing to Atypon and pulling your content out of ProQuest and other
aggregators is bad enough, and now this massive price hike and stupid
institutional licencing that doesn't even provide a proper archive.
As for the 5.43% VAT, I should imagine that figure represents the element of
the combined subscription model that is deemed to be "online only" content,
as with books that include a CD or DVD.
