PSI are running a course on 25th-26th February 2014 at Theobalds Park, Cheshunt. The presenters for this course are Phil Woodward (Pfizer) and James Matcham (AstraZeneca).
This two day course provides an introduction to practical Bayesian analysis in the clinical trial setting. It is aimed at statisticians who are looking for a practical introductory course and who need to be able to conduct Bayesian analyses as part of their day to day work.
The course begins with an introduction to Bayesian analyses using problems common in the clinical trial setting and progresses to the use of Bayesian approaches in Dose Response modelling and Meta-Analysis.
A laptop is strongly recommended to be able to follow the examples, but is not essential. SAS (version 9.2 and 9.3), WinBUGS or OpenBUGS as well as BugsXLA will be used to demonstrate Bayesian Analyses. Participants will however be able to follow the examples without a laptop if necessary.
The course is open to PSI members and non-PSI members. Full details of the course and registration details can be found on the PSI website here: https://services.psiweb.org/site/events/events_summary.asp
