Research Assistant (BCI/KT) - Quantitative Methods for the Social Sciences
Contract Type: Part Time (0.5), fixed-term from January 2014 to July 2014 (with possibility of extension subject to external funding and performance). Grade 6
We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to support the development of BCI (Business and Community Interaction) and KT (Knowledge Transfer) activities within the School of Law.
You will be based in our dynamic Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) and expected to contribute to a number of actives – such as contract research, consultancies, evaluations, events – and on a range of topics including: migration, ethnicity, gender, discrimination, equality, rights, welfare, education, community sector.
In particular, you will be required to contribute to the Quantitative Methods elements of our activities and projects, which often adopt a mixed-methods approach.
A degree in a relevant Social Sciences discipline and demonstrable experience of working with limited supervision on externally funded research or BCI projects are essential for this post.
