/Apologies for cross-posting/
The Centre for Urban and Regional Ecology (CURE) at the University of
Manchester has recently been re-launched as the Centre for Urban
Resilience and Energy. CURE brings together social scientists across the
University who are studying energy and environmental issues in urban
contexts, from fuel poverty and energy vulnerability, to climate change
resilience and complexity science.
The transformation of CURE will be marked by a launch event on 18 November
at 5.15pm with a keynote lecture on 'Energy Transitions' by Professor
Harriet Bulkeley (University of Durham). The lecture itself will commence
at 5.30 pm; it will be preceded by an introductory session chaired by
Professor Simon Guy (University of Manchester), and will be followed by a
wine reception. Please join us to celebrate!
