Hi Simon (and Joe)
Thanks for your posts. I've just got back from the European Community Psychology Congress and there were some good sessions on thinking about austerity practices across Europe and their impacts on people. One of the things that came out of it was the possibility of generating an ECPA task force on austerity to potentially use whatever experience/capacities that the members have to join the networks that are already actively resisting the destruction of austerity.
David Fryer and I have also been working on a short public statement which we are hoping that the ECPA will consider releasing in order to give the organisation a presence in the debate about the impacts of austerity.
It would be great to catch up and have a chat about your work. My details are below if you have any time.
Best wishes
Carl

Subject: Re: [COMMUNITYPSYCHUK] Introducing myself
Hello all
Thought I'd follow Joe's lead and introduce myself too ... I'm Simon, one of the other signatories on the letter to The Psychologist that Joe mentioned. Delighted to discover this group -- had no idea that it existed. Very much looking forward to further discussion, ideas and action.
Cheers
Simon
