You mean snap peaks was not working for pseudo-3D? It seems to be working for me so I'm wondering if there is some dimension ordering issue going on for you (my sampled dim is the "last" one).
That fitting is unfortunately being done in the C world and looking at the code now I can see that I started to put it in so that it would work for pseudo-3D but never came close to finishing it (and in fact even the Python code is not quite right for pseudo-3D, but that is easy to fix). So I'll do that now but since it's C code it won't make it until the next release, but in fact hopefully that is not too far off.
