I was just wondering whether any of you have a policy at your University/HEI on the wearing of football shirts and/or the display/use of other sporting paraphernalia (e.g. sports bags) on-site (on campus). If you have, would you be prepared to share it with me? It has been suggested that the banning of football shirts/sporting paraphernalia could improve campus relations, but I am not sure that this is a manageable option. For example, what sanction could be put in place to support such a policy? And how coudl it be policed?
I would also be interested to hear your views on this idea, especially if you have already considered this issue and have rejected it.
I'm happy to compile results...
