That tallies with my impression. Let's say I want to do as Steve suggests
and just get shot of the weirdness once and for all (which I do, because
I don't need the weirdness, and it's weird); is there any way of doing a
renewal and having it return a cert without the service prefix in a similar
manner to how we got rid of email addresses recently, or do I need to apply
for new ones. And if the latter, can I do that while the prefixed versions
are still valid?
