A 2-year post-doc position (TV-L 13) is available from 2014 at the
Freiburg Brain Imaging Center (FBI,
http://www.uniklinik-freiburg.de/fbi/live/index_en.html) in Germany.
The successful applicant should primarily study compensatory
mechanisms in neurodegenerative disorders by combining functional and
structural imaging as well as transcranial magnetic stimulation. The
candidate is welcome to participate in developing MRI-based pattern
recognition methods for diagnostics and prognostics for the clinical
application

We offer
The FBI (http://www.uniklinik-freiburg.de/fbi/live/index_en.html)
combines efforts in neuroimaging research of the departments of
Psychiatry/Psychotherapy, Biological and Personality Psychology,
Neurology, Neuroradiology and Neurosurgery. We offer a continuous
education program (image analyses, SPSS, etc.) and weekly research
meetings. Support for MRI sequence development is provided by the
Department of MR-Physics. The research group is closely collaborating
with the Department for Pattern recognition methods
(http://lmb.informatik.uni-freiburg.de/index.en.html) and is part of
large research initiatives (www.humanbrainproject.eu/de;
http://www.brainlinks-braintools.uni-freiburg.de/ ).
We require
Applicants should have acquired previous expertise in the analyses of
MRI data, ideally using Matlab and SPM software. They should hold a
publication record that matches their time in research.
