I started my own making of networked art in 1970/71 - building what we came later to call a local area network into a series of artworks known as Communications Game. I will talk about it at Renew next week, if anyone is interested.

The concept of Communications Game was not restricted to local connections, but that was all I could manage at the start of the 70s.

If Vera was the first net artist then I can't think of a nicer person to have that historical accolade:
