dedicated to finding new ways to bring the readers of Guardian.co.uk (

This year’s theme is ‘Power to the People’, and we’ve created plenty of
opportunities to connect with your peers. Join other museum practitioners,
academics and technologists to be inspired by the latest insights on
citizen history, grassroots digital projects and crowdsourcing. Learn tips
you can apply to your own work from honest case studies of projects that
engaged audiences in participatory projects and empowered museum staff to
use digital tools.
UKMW13 also brings together speakers from a number of leading organisations
including Adaptive Technologies, Arts University Bournemouth, Australian
National Maritime Museum, BBC Research & Development, Birmingham Music
Archive, English Heritage, Imperial War Museum, University of Brighton and
University of Oxford.
