Does anyone out there know of a UK based supplier who offers these for sale? I have tried the usual suspects (conservation by design, preservation resources, preservation equipment etc) with no joy.

I can't offer advice on your substantive question of where to find
appropriate boxes for your tapes, but I feel compelled to mention something
which you may well have already thought of.
Magnetic tape is an inherently unstable medium; even in ideal conditions I doubt
it will last long enough for an archival storage box to make much difference.
The tape itself starts to shed oxide in a decade or so; without regular
respooling, you will also suffer problems such as adhesion between the layers
and print-through (where the signal from one part of the tape magnetizes the
adjacent layer, producing an echo-like effect.)
I do hope you've managed to capture the audio from these tapes already in
a digital form. If not, I think that should be your primary concern. If
you've already done this, then feel free to ignore what I've said!
