ps there's a nice bit in the BBC "In Search of Shakespeare" videos, by Michael Wood, where photos are shown from the nineteenth/early-twentieth century of now-demolished sections of London that Shakespeare would have frequented. Quite powerful and with the same nostalgic tone as this this wonderful computer recreation. --Tom

Subject: virtual London
Dear all,
Some enterprising second-year students at De Montfort created this virtual
map and tour of London, forwarded me by Ian Lipke. Their work is based on
the British Library map collection, and in places offers a stimulating
sense of what London might have been like way back when.

Thanks to Ian for sending this on.
