Dear All,
Good to hear that Cecilie is joining the network. I had the pleasure of meeting her in Berlin earlier this year and I feel that her research is a valuable addition to what many AACORNERs do.
Cecilie, please do consider liking the AACORN Facebook site and the ORGANIZATIONAL AESTHETICS (journal) Facebook site.
Best wishes
Brigitte

Subject: Suggesting a new member - ass. prof. Cecilie Meltzer
Dear Acorners,
Having known Cecilie as a dedicated scholar in the field of Arts-based learning for several years, running a successful program for professionals at Oslo&Akershus Univ. College I highly recommend her as a new member of AACORN ;
Short bio of CECILIE MELTZER
At the moment she is working as an associate professor at Oslo and Akershus University College at the department for vocational education.
With an educational background as an artist, art psychotherapist, and teacher in special education, she is interested in the interface between these practice fields; fields that deal with the issue of being in touch with one’s own creativity, one’s opportunity for development through creative activity, and the learning process that occurs during the course of this work. Her experience of working with various teaching, learning and supervision styles both at the course in Creative Communications and in other fields of study has confirmed her the value of a teaching method that includes arts-based learning as a methodological tool in professional educational courses. She has found that this form of learning can enhance the learning process, release latent resources and opportunities, and help clarify what restricts and hinders development and change.
Her research focus is aimed at writing text and designing models that describe the relationship between art-based learning, experiential learning and how art-based learning can promote change and development processes in schools and working life”.
