Targeted marketing strategies that work - a PPRG event & AGM

CILIP's Publicity and Public Relations (PPRG) Group will be running its annual Marketing Excellence seminar in Birmingham on Friday 8th November 2013.
At this year's event, lively speakers from a wide variety of backgrounds will talk about how they have successfully improved the usage of their library service and the ways in which those services are used. They will share their strategies, advice and best practice and there will be time for questions and discussions.
The PPRG will also present their Marketing Excellence awards 2013 and you will hear about the winning projects.
The speakers:
Julie Cleverley, Leeds Metropolitan University
Julie will be speaking about 'Discover The Library! Libraries and Learning innovation at Leeds Metropolitan University'.
Lynda Bowler, Devon Libraries
Lynda will be speaking about how Devon Libraries reversed the downward trend in membership and increased it by over 30% during February, using Twitter.
Penny Hicks, University of Manchester Library
Penny will be speaking about using the Eureka Challenge concept to illustrate the effectiveness of innovative marketing in the University of Manchester Library.
Jo Cornish, Hertfordshire County Council Libraries
Jo will be speaking about creating young advocates in Hertfordshire.

The event will take place at Peters Bookselling Services, 120 Bromsgrove Street, Birmingham, B5 6RJ.
There will be an opportunity to visit Peters' showroom and their Kit Shop during the day. The PPRG is grateful for the support given by Peters to make this event possible.

Tickets cost just £65 + VAT (to include lunch and refreshments). Discounts are available as follows:
