GIS Developer - London - 6 Months initially but ongoing - £350per day
My client requires a GIS Developer to work on an exciting new project. You will be required for developing GIS solutions for the oil and gas industry. This role would suit an experienced GIS Developer who has expertise in ESRI products including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server and ArcObjects. All round GIS knowledge and other information system technologies would be an advantage.
C#, SQL server and Web development skills are required to develop against ArcGIS desktop and ArcGIS server products. Experience in Python would be an advantage.
You should have a degree in GIS, Computer Science or Earth Sciences and excellent communication skills to work with customers and development team colleagues.
Other requirements include:
•Five or more years of programming experience with C# and .NET.
•Solid software development experience in the .NET Framework and C#
•Knowledge of SQL Server relational database and development / management of data models.
•Experience using ArcGIS software and developing using ArcGIS Server Silverlight API
•Knowledge of Enterprise system architecture and development layers.
•Knowledge of entity framework, WCF and MVVM / PRISM design pattern.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation server (TFS), Visual Studio and Agile.
•Technical experience with ESRI product suite including ArcGIS Server Technologies (ArcSDE) and ArcGIS Desktop, along with ArcObjects development experience.
•Solid understanding of OO / Object Oriented Design and Development methodologies along with UML.
•Excellent written and verbal communications.
The initial contract will be for 6 months but it is an ongoing project so long term work is assured. Please get in touch asap if you are available.
