Sean,
I played AIR real tennis at Hampton Court on a school outing once, does that count?
The real tennis court there used to be open to the public, anyone could wander in.
From memory, the rules are complicated, and the court quite unlike modern ones, though it precedes Wimbledon, close by, in one way - a real tennis court has a roof!
