** apologies for duplications **
Dear all
a reminder about the fact that registration is still open for the international conference 'Retold, resold, transformed. Crime fiction in the modern era', organised at the University of Leeds for the next Tuesday and Wednesday (17th-18th September).
Those interested can register and pay online, following the link available in the conference website: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/arts/info/125158/crimefiction2013/1964/about.
You can also register on the day, but we would be very grateful if you could do it in advance, for catering purposes.
This is an international conference with a strong comparative and transnational focus. As you can see in the programme, Italian literature is well represented.IN the website you can also find the updated programme (section: downloads).
I especially would like to draw your attention to two roundtables:
1. 'Retelling the Italian Noir: Gianrico Carofiglio', François von Hurter and Howard Curtis in conversation with Gigliola Sulis [LT1], sponsored by The Language, Linguistics and Translation group (SMLC) and in collaboration with LivItaly. Bringing Italian Culture to Yorkshire (18t Sept, 9-10 am)
2. 'Cultural Exchange Roundtable': Peter Robinson, Barry Forshaw, François von Hurter, Howard Curtis, Ilaria Meliconi, Chaired by David Platten [LT1] (17 Sept, 4-5pm)
Best regards
Gigliola
