Hi,
you could edit the fsl configuration script
(${FSLDIR}/etc/fslconf/fsl.sh). Quite at the beginning there is an entry:
FSLOUTPUTTYPE=NIFTI_GZ
export FSLOUTPUTTYPE
Change it to the desired output. If you want to change it temporally,
just write these two lines into your active command line Window with the
output type you need and continue with this changed output (only in that
terminal).
