The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) are currently advertising for an Archive Assistant to work on their independent investigation into allegations surrounding the aftermath of the Hillsborough Disaster.
The purpose of the role is to provide access to historical material relating to the Hillsborough Stadium Disaster of 1989 and its aftermath. The post holder will also assist the full time archivist with the general management of the collections and research into the collections, where required, to assist with the ongoing investigation.
An interest in archives and some experience of working in an archive service or with archive collections would be an advantage.
Please note that this full time role is initially for 12 months, however it is possible that it will be extended beyond this initial period. The job is graded at IPCC grade 7 (£21,600) and will be based at the IPCC's office in Warrington.
The closing date for this post is 11:59pm on Tuesday 27 August. Interviews are expected to be held the week beginning 16 September.
