Smith & Nephew is an industry leader in each of our main Divisions - Advanced Surgical Devices and Advanced Wound Management. These businesses jointly offer over 1,000 product ranges. Advanced Wound Management is headquartered in Hull.
The Role:
Our Statistics and Data Management team provides support across the Advanced Wound Management business, and this hands-on role offers a technical challenge across a range of scientific applications in clinical and pre-clinical research.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Input into clinical research programmes and study protocols
- Collaborate on research and development programmes and projects advising on study design, analysing and reporting
- Author statistical analysis plans and clinical study reports
- Disseminate study results with study teams and brand managers
Candidate Requirements:
- A Statistics qualification (BSc, MSc) is essential
- Proven experience as a Statistician in a pharmaceutical/healthcare environment is preferred
- Programming skills in SAS or R would be an advantage
- Needs to be organised, pro-active and able to work in a team environment
- Keen eye for detail and good communication skills
Salary:
Between £25,000 and £35,000 dependent upon experience
