NIHR Training Methods Fellowship in Statistical Methodology for Clinical Trials Salary Range: £28,770 - £30,300 per annum
The Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU) are seeking to recruit a graduate in mathematics, statistics or another relevant quantitative subject to undertake a research methods training fellowship, funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), with the aim of starting a career in health research.
The ICTU is a clinical trials unit working across Imperial College London, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust and affiliated NHS Trusts to deliver world class clinical trials of all phases. Core staff are based predominately within the School of Public Health. ICTU has a team of established statisticians working across both medical statistics and clinical trial statistics.

In the first year, the Fellow will receive formal training via the MSc in Modern Epidemiology (Biostatistics) at Imperial College London.

In the second year, the Fellow will put these methods into practice, and undergo further methodological training in the design and analysis of trials closely allied to on-going NIHR trials, and those in the planning.
The post will be full-time for a fixed term of two years commencing 1st October 2013 and will be based at the St Mary’s campus, Paddington.
