Hi Nadine
As Alli says, here in Wales we funded a one year project that was completed in March 2013 to pilot WiA in several university libraries. It's currently being offered in four universities (Aberystwyth, Cardiff Uni, Cardiff Met, and Trinity St Davids University of Wales), and there is also a very helpful toolkit available which sets out all the license, technical and promotional issues involved. (They adapted this from the Scottish project.)
For more info see the website http://walkinaccesswales.wordpress.com/ - toolkit available from there
From what I understand there MAY be a difference in some licenses between WiA users (ie the general public off the street), and alumni, so there MAY need to be clarfication between who can access what and how it is marketed to different groups.
Best wishes
Alysno

** Apologies for cross-posting**
Many eResources licences allow on campus access to walk-in users. We are looking at the options for enabling alumni/walk-in user access to eResources where permitted under the licences.
Do you provide eResources access to walk-in users and/or alumni. If so, how is this set up and managed by your institution. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. We are also keen to visit other institutions providing walk-in/alumni on campus eResources access to see how it works in practice and work out how we can approach this within our technical setup.

Hello, Nadine.
I know there was a project in Wales to create a "Tool kit" for walk-in users. Posted on the list by Bronwen Blatchford in March this year (attached)
Best wishes,
Alli
