this path doesn't seem to be right
:./:usr/local/fsl/bin
should be
:/usr/local/fsl/bin.
Can you double check?
Best,
Tony

Subject: [FSL] Installation manually on Windows 7 with VMplayer
Dear all.
I am a real newbie to both Linux and FSL.
I installed VMplayer on my windows 7 with the instructions on the http://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslwiki/FslInstallation
However, when I use the 'fslinstaller.py' file, there is downloading error and the process stops, so I installed it manually.
I install the fsl in the /usr/local, and set the shell configuration with adding the following lines below(same as the instruction above)
FSLDIR=/usr/local/fsl
. ${FSLDIR}/etc/fslconf/fsl.sh
PATH=${FSLDIR}/bin:${PATH}
export FSLDIR PATH
However, there is an error message 'command not found', whenever I type any command in the fsl/bin such as 'bet' etc.
So I added 'PATH=$PATH:./:usr/local/fsl/bin'
And as a result, when I type echo $PATH, the results are like below.
=/usr/local/fsl/bin:/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/bin:./:usr/local/fsl/bin
Finally, I can run bet in the fsl/bin directory.
However, I can't run any GUI command in the fsl/bin directory.
There is an error message below when I use 'Bet' or other GUI command
'You need to set the FSLDIR environment variable to point to the FSL installation directory before you can run anything.'
Now I have two questions.
1. How can I solve the problem with the GUI command?
2. Is there any other method to use fsl command in other directory than fsl/bin directory?
I think the questions are associated with PATH configuration, but I am not sure, because I am not familiar with Linux system.
With regards
