The Department of Geography is seeking to appoint up to two fixed-term (one year) lecturers in human geography to join one of the largest and most diverse academic communities in UK Geography, situated in a top 30 world institution. We will consider high calibre applicants with expertise and emerging reputation in human geography whose work closely complements those of the Environment, Politics and Development and Cities research groups.
Preference may be given to applicants with a special interest in one or more of the following areas:
• Gender and development
• Critical institutional/governance theory and practice
• Research methods (especially mixed methods)
• Quantitative skills including GIS
• Urban and social geography
Applicants should have, or be near to completion of, a PhD in Geography or cognate discipline. A commitment to research-led teaching and to the enrichment of student experience in a world-class university environment is essential.
