As part of the Historic Environment Team of North Yorkshire County Council, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance on archaeological matters in the planning process to the County and District Councils within North Yorkshire.
You will be a professional archaeologist with practical experience of working with HERs and GIS, and providing advice and guidance. Knowledge of all periods of British archaeology, current historic environment legislation and policies, as well as good ICT skills are essential, as is an ability to deal with a heavy workload to tight timescales. A degree or equivalent in archaeology, or a closely related discipline, is required.
