Leslie Grinsell's Folklore of Prehistoric Sites in Britain is available on
that brilliant source of second hand books Abebooks for £24.60
Leslie is of course best known for his Barrow surveys. I helped him with
his Dartmoor Barrows. In the kind of weather we've been having lately he
was known to walk the landscape with a pair of shorts on his head to keep
the sun off!
