Position:
The Center for Investigating Healthy Minds (CIHM) at the Waisman Center, a large laboratory under the direction of Richard Davidson dedicated to basic and translational research in affective, cognitive, and contemplative neuroscience, is looking for an fMRI analysis expert. This person will work closely with the lab's scientific community, providing expertise in (50%) and developing and giving trainings about (25%) fMRI techniques, particularly in the areas of study design and data analysis. In addition, the individual in this position is expected to develop an independent research program (25%).

Facility:
The imaging facility is part of the Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging and Behavior, a state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary facility dedicated to affective and cognitive neuroscience research with brain imaging. This laboratory includes a 3.0T MRI scanner (GE X750) devoted exclusively to neuroscience research, and currently provides imaging services to several faculty with expertise in neuroscience, psychology, child development, geriatrics, kinesiology, physics, and statistics.

Requirements:
•	Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience or related field
•	5+ years of graduate and/or post-graduate research experience in fMRI
•	Strong knowledge of fMRI methods, including study design and analysis techniques
•	Expertise with one or more analysis packages such as SPM, FSL, and AFNI
•	Foundational skills/experience include: scientific programming, signal modeling, competence in using UNIX and LINUX computer systems, and a strong knowledge of statistics. 

Preferred Experience:
•	Expertise with event-related methods in a psychology and/or neuroscience setting 
•	Facility with other analysis techniques including: connectivity mapping, structural equation modeling, resting state data, dynamic causal modeling, and independent component analysis 
•	Incorporating other types of data (heart rate, respiration, electrophysiology, etc) into the design, collection and analysis of fMRI studies 
•	Awareness of recent developments in imaging analysis and an ability to apply new methods to data
•	Experience teaching, mentoring, as well as demonstrated written and verbal communication skills are essential

Salary:
Minimum $55k/yr, commensurate with experience
