Hi AS,
if you want to calculate statistics in SPM all images have to have the
same orientation and scaling because all calculations are done voxel by
voxel. This is checked by spm_spm (calling spm_check_orientations).
With using the reorient images you only change the voxel->world
transformation stored in the header (V.mat), not the data. To apply this
transformation (flip), you can either use coregister reslice and take a
unfliped images as target (Image Defining Space) or use image calculator
(spm_imcalc_ui) as described in the mail of Alexandre Obert.
