The 2012 Survey of Visitors took place in 128 offices with nearly 9,000 questionnaires being completed.
The regional and national results of the 2012 Survey of Visitors to UK archives have now been made available by the Public Services Quality Group and can be viewed on the Archives and Records Association Website at: http://www.archives.org.uk/latest-news/2012-survey-results-showed-improved-user-satisfaction-in-key-areas.html
Upcoming Surveys:
The next visitor survey will take place in April and May 2014 and it is expected that archives will be able to sign up to take part from late January 2014. The Surveys Working Party has undertaken a review of the questions, which have remained the same for a number of years, to ensure that they remain relevant, so the next survey will be updated. The revised questionnaire will be used for at least the following three surveys.
The next national survey of distance users will take place in October and December this year and we will shortly be announcing the date when offices can sign up to participate.
