Rhys:
I've just returned from my first BIG event, in Glasgow, and having been been blown away by the energy and helpfulness of the other conferees, perhaps I can make a suggestion or two.
Being a little older than most of the participants my suggestions might be more pedestrian than what you need, but as a freelance science presenter , i.e. someone who gets gigs ad hoc usually resulting from word of mouth recommendations, I'd benefit enormously from being included in a registry of presenters, preferably on a widget-loaded website, that would enable interested audience representatives - teachers, community groups et al - to get content and contact details whenever they needed them. I know a couple of such sites exist, but maybe a more extensive compilation would help.
I said a suggestion or two, and that's only one. OK, more as they occur to me.
Just a thought.
John
