Some years back we were partners in an EU-funded project, Vitra, that
created a device for exactly this purpose. See

I last heard of the robotic camera platform at the University of the
Arts. Lindsay Macdonald was the project leader, it could be worth
contacting him, I believe he is now at University College London.
