NAG’s conference “Sharing today, securing tomorrow”, will once again be held
at the Royal York Hotel, York, on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th September
2013.
Provisional information about this year’s speakers is as follows. Please
note that the times of the presentations may be subject to change.
On Wednesday 4th September 2013, our Keynote Address will be given by Annie
Mauger, CILIP’s Chief Executive Officer, and the following papers are
confirmed
“Is the digital library our future?” - Carol Hollier & Susanne Cullen -
University of Nottingham
“The legal dimensions to content acquisition and management” - Laurence
Bebbington - University of Aberdeen
These are followed by a choice of workshops, which include
“What not to promise: providing e-resources access to overseas campuses” -
Ruth Dale & Andrina Howlett - University of Nottingham
“HIKE Project (Huddersfield Intota Knowledgebase+Evaluation)” - Briony
Heyhoe-Pullar & Amy Devenney - University of Huddersfield
“Making library material accessible for people with sight loss: a good
practice guide” - Wendy Taylor – RNIB
On Thursday 5th September the AGM opens the day, and the workshops are then
repeated. The following further papers are confirmed, with several more
still at the planning stage.

“UK Standard Library Categories (UKSLC) & the e4libraries project and
accreditation scheme” - Simon Edwards - BIC

There are just another 2 weeks in which to book at last year’s prices! After
31st July the costs will rise to £350 (NAG members)/ £400 (non-members) for
