Digital Projects Officer
Organisation: Hampshire County Council
Salary: £29,895 - £33,648 per annum
Location: Hampshire, Winchester
Hours: 37 hrs per week
Type of Contract: Temporary to March 2015
Closing Date : 9 June 2013
Interview Date(s): W/c 17 June and w/c 24 June 2013
This is a unique opportunity to put your creativity and experience of digital projects management and development to test and lead a new area of work in the museum services!
Join us to experiment with creating an 'unexpected encounter with collections' through innovative viral content. This project will identify ways of using mobile and gaming technologies to raise brand awareness, give access to collections, and potentially develop new commercial opportunities. The Digital Apprenticeships scheme will enable young people from diverse and non-heritage backgrounds to engage with heritage organisations and develop digital content
Your role will focus on the successful management and delivery of the "Grow the power of viral marketing" workstream as part of the 2013-2015 Renaissance Strategic Fund (RSF) programme. Working closely with the integrated Digital Project Team and other key staff from each partner organisation, you will lead this project on behalf of the partnership.
In particular, you will develop an integrated viral marketing strategy and campaign and the digital content to deliver it. You will explore and identify "unexpected places" as the driver for audiences to encounter collections and museums. You will devise the content to link directly to the partners' collections and programming and establish a monitoring process to track and test the impact and effectiveness of the content, different locations and ways of engaging. You will also set up and manage the Digital Apprenticeships scheme.
With a track record of successful projects delivery in a similar environment, you will be experienced in setting up and implementing an integrated digital marketing strategy. You will bring experience of building strong partnerships and an impressive portfolio in achieving creative digital business solutions.
