International students can thefore be based in Sunderland and qualify for Visa requirements, and non-international students can travel for intensive pre-planned weeks. The intensive week in London is also available as a short professional development course.
This qualification will equip you to work in a range of museums, galleries and other public contexts. It focuses on the organisational, conceptual and teamwork skills that are required. The course includes visits to curators at Tate, V&A, Wellcome Collection, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Workplace Gallery, Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art, National Glass Centre, and many others.
"Students come from a variety of different backgrounds and countries which makes sharing ideas dynamic and fun in class. Staff are both engaging and supportive and there is a balance between academic and practical curatorship. I would not hesitate to recommend the MA Curating course to anyone who would like to develop their curatorial practice to a professional level"
Philippa McDonald
