We are pleased to announce that the latest issue of Asia Pacific World has been published by Berghahn Journals.
The Special Features section includes transcripts of two keynote speeches from recent IAAPS conferences. In the journal's first Opinion Essay, Dr. Thorsten Pattberg looks carefully at the triumvirate of philosophy, religion, and science and shows the heavy influence of Western thinking on the rest of the world, in particular on Asia.
The General Articles cover a wide range of topics which include: the concept of regional identity within the Pacific Islands region, and the changes over the years since the end of World War II, the outreach with Cambodian expatriates living in America who were victims of the Khmer Rouge regime, the development of a social research training program on HIV and AIDS in Fiji, the activities of NGOs operating in developing nations, in particular in Cambodia, and a study of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Japan.
