Jessica is a bit concerned that somne people may not have got this attachment so i'm re-sending - please pass this invitation on to any Community networks you know of, especially in the South-East within easy reach of London Bridge - tea and cakes as an incentive to attend! And a very worthwhile project/ cause...

Subject: Public engagement event on organ donation
Apologies for cross-posting
Dear all,
The Donation, Transplantation and Ethnicity (DonaTE) Programme is holding a public engagement event 5 June at Guy’s Hospital (SE1, London). The event will be on designing successful campaigns and interventions to promote more people from black and minority ethnic groups to sign-up to the Organ Donor Register.
We hope to develop some concrete recommendations for future health campaigns that we can feedback to other researchers, practitioners and NHS Blood and Transplant. The event would be of interest to people who want more information about organ donation, to influence policy/practice, or who are interested in making successful public awareness campaigns generally.
Participants don’t need any experience with organ donation/transplantation, just a desire to contribute to the discussion. And, there will be cake!
I’ve included and flyer and would appreciate if you could pass it along to your networks. Please get in touch for more information or booking a place ([log in to unmask])
Many thanks,
Jessica
