Subject: FREE Courses for NHS staff
FREE Health-Related Courses at The University of Sheffield
The School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at The University of Sheffield is running three FREE open learning courses. These exciting new courses will take the form of MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses) and will cover three distinct topics.
Sustainable Healthy Diets
Health Inequalities
Health Technology Assessment
The courses will be hosted online on https://scharrmoocs.coursesites.com/ and will run for five weeks with students expected to spend 3-5 hours per week on each course.
Dates of the courses:
Healthy Sustainable Diets: (17th June - 21st July, 2013)
Health Inequalities (15th July - 18th August, 2013)
Health Technology Assessment (28th October, 2013 - 1st December, 2013)
About the courses:
Students can enroll on all three courses. The MOOCs are delivered using the coursesites platform. The courses are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The majority of the content will be delivered asynchronously (meaning you can access it in your own time) however there may be optional ‘synchronous’ elements such as 'live' webinars which require participants to join in at specific dates/times. We will give participants plenty of notice as and when these are offered and every attempt will be made to ensure as many participants as possible are able to join these enjoyable interactive sessions.
