I'm posting information about a London Museums Group Event 'Museums and Social Media' Event. Mia Ridge and Elena Villaespesa are kindly speaking at the event and Nancy Groves from the Guardian Culture Professionals Network is kindly sharing insights into open journalism.

Free LMG Event: Museums & Social Media
12.30 – 15.30 Friday 24 May, Clore Learning Auditorium, Tate Britain
This event will explore how we as museum professionals can use social media effectively to engage with the public, develop interactive participation and how we can evaluate them. We have a great line up of speakers who will be sharing their insights and experiences with you and will be available to talk to you throughout the event.
