Propaganda: Power and Persuasion
Propaganda: Power and Persuasion is a new British Library exhibition on international state propaganda from the 20th and 21st centuries. It covers everything from leaflet drops to tweets, for intentions good and bad.
As part of the events programme, on 1 June the Library is running a special study day with the British Film Institute to explore the role of visual communication in influencing ideas and changing behaviour: Picturing Propaganda. Academics and curators will discuss the history of visual propaganda, using fascinating examples from the British Library and British Film Institute collections. The event is aimed at students, researchers and anyone with an interest in 20th century history, design, film and communication. Entry to the exhibition is included in the price.
