OVERVIEW
This workshop will examine the issues, decisions and legal processes
involved in the acquisition and sale of publishing assets and demonstrate
how to achieve these as successfully and smoothly as possible. It will focus
on sales and asset purchase but will also touch upon the considerations for
buying or selling a company.

. The practicalities of the transition once the contract is in place

. Post-completion issues
This course will commence at 09:30 (registration, with tea/coffee, from
09:00) and end at approximately 17:00 with a drinks reception
BY THE END OF THE COURSE DELEGATES WILL BE ABLE TO
Identify the best time to sell their product, know how to look for
acquisition and sales opportunities, be able to produce the ultimate bid
document, understand issues surrounding due diligence, and contracts, and
analyse the success of the process. This course will enable delegates to
undertake successful sales and acquisitions of publishing assets with
confidence.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is designed for senior editorial/publishing managers or
directors and also managing directors involved in the process of buying or
selling assets or considering how to do so in future.
