> We are delighted to announce that registration is now live for an Open Journals Systems (OJS) Forum hosted by the University of Edinburgh on Wednesday, 31st July 2013.
>
> The event is a *free* one-day session for librarians, repository managers and academics from across the UK who are interested in setting up journals using OJS or who are already using OJS and would like to share experience and find out more.
>
> Our keynote speaker is Vanessa Gabler, Electronic Publications Manager from the University of Pittsburgh. The University of Pittsburgh is a PKP (Public Knowledge Partnership) major development partner. Vanessa will present the University Library System (ULS), University of Pittsburgh, a fully integrated publishing service offered by the library, using OJS, to support researchers and scholarly publishing.
>
> Other speakers include: Claire Knowles from the University of Edinburgh who will cover the technical requirements of setting up an OJS installation. Angela Laurins who will present the University of Edinburgh's experience of using OJS and Gillian Duncan, Editor of Journal of Terrorism Research, from the University of St Andrews who will provide an academic's perspective and share her experience of using OJS to publish.
>
> A full programme will be made available in due course.
>
> It is our intention to make the day relatively informal and for attendees to have the opportunity to network with colleagues from other institutions and find out what has, and has not, worked for other universities' implementations of OJS. It will also be useful forum to find out how other institutions plan to use OJS to support open access.
