Medical Statistician
Salary in range of £25,726 - £34,519 (including London Weighting)
This is an exciting opportunity for a medical statistician to join the MRC Clinical Trials Unit’s statistical methodology group.
The post-holder will contribute to statistical research projects relating to clinical trials, observational studies meta-analysis. The precise focus will depend on the experience, interest and aptitude of the successful candidate.
The research will be directly driven by emerging statistical issues relating to studies being led by the CTU. This includes numerous randomised controlled trials (eg in oncology, HIV, TB), secondary analysis of trial patient cohorts, and nearly 20 individual patient data (IPD) datasets. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the statistical discussion groups and related methodological activity. In time it is anticipated the successful candidate will become involved in advising PhD students.
The post-holder will help further develop the links between the Unit’s statistical methodology group and the Medical Statistics Department at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, by spending a part of their time working at the School.
