Senior Lecturer, Digital Film Production – Ravensbourne Salary: £41,839 +

Ravensbourne is looking to recruit a dynamic, innovative, and future
thinking educator to join the Digital Film Production team. This new and
rapidly growing area in the institution is technologically focused and
determined to be at the forefront of the digital revolution in Film
Production and applicants are expected to be as excited about this new
field as Ravensbourne is. The successful candidate will have
responsibility for units across the three year BA (Hons) programme and the
new two year fast track BA (Hons) programme, and will be expected to
contribute to cross-disciplinary units and activities across a number of
associated programmes.
The successful applicant will have a first degree or post-graduate
qualification in a relevant subject, and should be able to demonstrate
good, recent professional knowledge and experience (both industry and
academic) in Digital Film Production. Excellent organisational skills and
the ability to engage students directly with their chosen industry will be
of significant benefit, and the ability to deploy creative learning and
teaching methods, and to innovate in curriculum design would be
advantageous. An active research profile or interest in participating in
research is of interest.
Applicants will be expected to possess high level, current skills in
Digital Film Production. These may be in a particular part of the
discipline such as Digital Cinematography, CGI, or post production, or may
be in areas such as Advertising, Documentary Production, Sustainable
Production Management, Delivery Platforms, or Directing for Multi-Platform
Production. Applicants with an in-depth knowledge of the British film
business, or an understanding of the industrial contexts of Digital Film
will be particularly welcome, as would those with experience of new
approaches to online collaborations and to production, distribution and
exhibition tools. A high level of technical understanding and ability is
essential.
