Pablo, I think it would have been more accurate to say "tiring emphasis" as we have been promoting researcher engagement through author deposit in repositories for well over a decade.
While other mechanisms to help boost repository contents are welcome, it is a mistake to see them in any way detracting from the main aim which is to get authors - researchers - to engage sufficiently with the research communications process that they simply deposit their work into their repository. It's not rocket science, even if the topic of the paper is.
