'Art in the Expanded Field; Digital Media, Networks and Technology'
Over the next ten weeks EMERGE will host a series of lunchtime presentations with artists and curators working at the cutting edge of digital media.
Neal White, Director of EMERGE will be interviewing speakers, leading to a report on Art in the Expanded Field for later publication.
Featuring artists London Fieldworks, James Bridle (New Aesthetic), Irational, and Ilona Gaynor (Dept of NO)
Pauline van Mourik Broekman (Mute Publishing) and Prof. Charlie Gere (Lancaster University).
The first session will be lead by curator Rob La Frenais. All Welcome

Dr Rob La Frenais is a curator and critic who has commissioned and produced interdisciplinary and visual art projects since 1987. He has worked with The Arts Catalyst as curator for the past 15 years and was recently curator in residence at Srishti School of Art, Bangalore. With Arts Catalyst, he advises on cultural activities in the International Space Station, set up the world’s first Artists Airshow and curated a number of major touring exhibitions in museums and galleries nationally, most recently ‘Interspecies’, about artists working with animals. He is currently planning a new exhibition about artists living and working on the Moon.
