**Apologies for cross-posting, and for repetition**
Dear all,
We are still seeking health information professionals to participate
in a focus group on health information professionals' career
experiences.
The focus group will take place *this Tuesday* 23rd April from 3.30 to
4.30 in the Training Room at Holborn Public Library. Health
information professionals from any sector are warmly invited to
participated (e.g. clinical librarians, academic librarians,
bibliotherapists, public librarians working on health projects...) We
will be able to reimburse travel expenses.
Holborn Library is at 32-38 Theobalds Road and a location map showing
nearby tube stations can be found via this page:
http://www.camden.gov.uk/ccm/content/contacts/council-contacts/libraries/contact-holborn-library.en
The training room is on the basement level (down one floor from the
entrance) and a lift is available.
Please contact Liz Chapman on [log in to unmask] if you are
able to attend. Please forward to any colleagues who may be interested
in participating, as the more participants we have the better!
The focus group forms part of the EAHIL-funded Project WHIPPET
(Working in the Health Information Profession: Perspectives,
Experiences and Trends) at the Information School, University of
Sheffield. We are investigating current and future trends in the
health information sector and the ways in which health information
professionals make critical contributions to healthcare. Key outcomes
from the project will include an interactive website to support health
information professionals' career development, and a
map of the European health information sector. We also hope to publish
our findings in academic and professional journals.
Very best wishes,
Liz Chapman and Barbara Sen
